Greater Things

I have been in a funk lately.

Like one of those funks where you feel like you have no purpose and you don’t know what you are doing with your life.  You feel left out.

Have you ever had one of those?

Are you going about your life, everything is great, but all the sudden it hits you and you think to yourself “What is MY purpose?”

For those of you who know me, you may be sitting at your computer reading this with your mouth open wide thinking to yourself “What does she mean she doesn’t know her purpose?”

You may or may not know this but a few years ago I walked away from a corporate job to start a company that helps raise awareness for trafficking and build businesses for survivors.

At first it was a mountaintop experience EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.  It was new.  It was exciting. It was something big. But as time has gone on I have allowed satan to jack up my life and make myself question what I’m doing.

I have spent quite a bit of time lately feeling like I am not doing anything to make a difference. Lies.

Have you ever been there? It’s not a fun place to be.

But, I have come to realize that in order for us to have mountaintop experiences we need to go through deep valley trenches.

It is in the tough times where we become thankful for the greatness that God is called us to. Not because of who we are but because of who He is in us.

We are strong because of Him.

We are confident because of Him.

We are secure because of Him.

We are loved because of Him.

God has called us all to something great.

Don’t allow Satan to steal that from you!

“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” – John 14:12-14
