The past few days I have been trying to write something “inspiring”, but my mind has been in a fog. I’ve felt stuck. Tomorrow starts our 28-Day Prayer Challenge of reading and studying scripture that relates to prayer. And, it just hit me….when we start doing anything that could impact lives for God’s Kingdom, the devil will do whatever he can to prevent us from moving forward.
And prayer has the power to impact MANY lives.
I’ve learned firsthand the power prayer has and seen the mountains it can move. I’ve seen what happens in lives when our prayers aren’t answered the way we would like them to be, but God’s love, grace, mercy and strength take over to create the most beautiful story.
When I first started thinking about this prayer challenge, I wrote down scripture I wanted to focus on. Nothing fancy. I scribbled bible verses on a piece of paper and folded it up in my bible. But, I started feeling the urge to share with friends and family about what I was doing and ask if they wanted to be part of it. As of today, it’s grown and spread so much that I have no idea how many people are participating. And THAT is powerful.
When God’s people join together to study His Word and Pray, it’s a game changer.
I am so excited for everyone who is participating!
Here are a few things to remember:
- If you miss a few days, jump back in.
- If it gets hard, we understand. Don’t give up.
- Even if you can participate for only a short time, do it anyway.
If you haven’t already decided to participate, please do! And, share with friends, family, small groups, and your community.
As we go through this challenge, you will be prayed for. And, If you need anything, don’t hesitate to reach out!
